       Standalone Installation Quick Start Guide

Most people evaluate Team-GIS products using Standalone licensing (all components installed on to a single machine). The following quick start guide explains how to do this:

1.Login to your client machine (with Admin privileges) and run ‘Start.exe’ from the install bundle.
2.If installing to Windows Vista ensure that User Account Control is disabled first.
3.If installing to Windows 7 ensure that User Account Control is disabled first (and that you have restarted your machine).
4.Select ‘Install Team-GIS <Product Name>…’ from the menu to install the required application.
5.Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
6.When the installation is complete close the splash screen - note that you don't need to install the license server components as you'll be using a standalone license.
7.From the Start menu run Exprodat > Team-GIS License Manager.
8.Select Standalone from the drop down and click OK.
9.If the License File Path is not set, click the top right-hand green arrow, navigate to the following directory and click 'OK':
32 bit machine: “<install drive>:\Program Files\Common Files\Exprodat\Team-GIS\Lic”
64 bit machine: “<install drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Exprodat\Team-GIS\Lic”
8.Click the green arrow to the right of Install New License.
9.In the dialog that appears navigate to and select your license file. Then click OK.
10.The license should now appear in the License Availability pane below.

       Network Installation Quick Start Guide

Most people install Team-GIS products using Network licensing (with a separate license server, and without a USB license dongle). The following quick start guide explains how to do this:

1.Login to your Citrix application server or each client machine (depending on your install environment).
2.If installing to Windows Vista ensure that User Account Control is disabled first.
3.If installing to Windows 7 ensure that User Account Control is disabled first (and that you have restarted your machine).
4.Run ‘Start.exe’ from the install bundle and select Install Team-GIS <Product Name> from the menu to install the required application.
5.Decide what server/machine you will use as your Team-GIS license server.
6.Login to your license server and run ‘Start.exe’ from the install bundle and select Install Team-GIS License Server from the menu to install the license server components.
7.While still on the license server go to ‘Start > All Programs > Exprodat > Team-GIS License Manager’ and select 'System’ from the left hand menu.  Next, click the button to the right of the Hard Disk lock code to copy it to clipboard, and then paste the text string (including any special characters) into an email and send it to support@exprodat.com.
8.Exprodat will use this lock code to create a license file.
9.Once you receive the license file from Exprodat, on the license server bring up Team-GIS License Manager again and select ‘License Management’. Click the green arrow next to Install New License and then navigate to the license file. This will add the Team-GIS licenses to your license server.
10.Finally, on the Citrix application server or each client machine (depending on your install environment), start Team-GIS License Manager and select Network (Client) mode from the drop down as the tool launches.  Select License Management from the left hand side, and click the green arrow to the right of License Server and set the license server value to the name of your license server.
11.You should now see the licenses available appear in the License Availability panel.
