License Administration > Introduction

Team-GIS product licenses are tied to hardware (either a server, client machine, or USB license dongle) and can be configured in Standalone or Network modes:

1.Standalone mode – Standalone licenses are machine specific and non-transferable - each machine with the product installed requires a locally held license, tied either to a USB license dongle or to the machine hard disk. When using a non-dongle Standalone license configuration the locking code of each machine to be licensed must first be provided to Exprodat in order to create the license.
2.Network mode – Network licenses are fixed to a license server and non-transferable - the product can be installed on multiple machines but accessed simultaneously only by as many users as the number of licenses purchased. When using a Network license configuration the locking code of the license server must first be provided to Exprodat in order to create the license.
