Unless you are using a USB license dongle (which is unlikely) you will be asked to provide a 'locking code' in order to generate a license file. The method for generating locking codes for Team-GIS products varies depending on what sort of licensing is to be used.
Generating Locking Codes for Standalone Licenses
Requirement: Team-GIS product is installed on the machine you wish to license.
| 1. | Login to the machine you wish to license. |
| 2. | Close ArcMap, if it is open. Don't forget to save any important changes! |
| 3. | Launch the Team-GIS License Manager from the Start menu ('Start > Exprodat > Team-GIS License Manager'). |
| 4. | Select the option to launch in 'Standalone' mode. |
| 5. | Click the 'System' option |
| 6. | The 'Hard Disk' or 'Dongle' (if present) lock codes are displayed. To copy a lock code to the clipboard click the button to the right of the code. |

Generating Locking Codes for Network Licenses
Requirement: Team-GIS License Server application is installed on the machine you wish to use as your Team-GIS license server.
| 1. | Login to your Team-GIS license server. |
| 2. | Launch the Team-GIS License Manager from the Start menu ('Start > Exprodat > Team-GIS License Manager'). |
| 3. | Click the 'System' option. |
| 4. | To copy the 'Hard Disk' lock code click the button to the right of the code. |
