Team-GIS licensing is controlled by a Windows service called ‘Sentinel RMS License Manager’. All license codes installed using Team-GIS License Manager are automatically saved to the Sentinel license file (specified in the system environment variable LSERVRC) and will be initiated when the license service starts. If you manually edit the Sentinel license file (e.g. to bring in licenses for other products also licensed using the Sentinel license solution) then you will need to restart the Sentinel service to effect the changes.
Sentinel RMS License Manager Service
To restart the license service:
| 1. | Go to the Control Panel. |
| 2. | Select the Administrative Tools group. |
| 3. | Open Services. |
| 4. | Scroll down and select 'Sentinel RMS License Manager' from the list. |
| 5. | Stop then Start, or Restart the Service. |
Note: Any users will lose connection with their licenses during such a restart.
