If you are having problems with licensing your Team-GIS product please use the resources provided below.

       Troubleshooting

Ensure that the USB license dongle (if used) is plugged into the computer and is recognised by the operating system before licensing the product.
Ensure that Team-GIS License Manager is connected to the correct license file and/or license server.
Ensure that any firewall software or hardware is not blocking traffic between the client machines and the Exprodat license server.
Ensure that you do not have any interfering Sentinel environment variables.
Note that Standalone licensing is not supported on Terminal Servers (e.g. Citrix). To use Terminal Server you must use Network Licensing.
If the license service will not start check the log in 'Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer'.

       FAQ's

Q. How do I get the locking code for my server/machine so that I can receive licenses?

A. There is information on how to do this here.

Q. I'm getting error code E0002 saying 'failed to figure out the license server correctly' when I try to run Team-GIS License Manager - what's going on?

A. Your machine's Sentinel environment is not configured correctly - specifically you should check that the LSERVRC environment variable is set correctly and that your user has the correct file privileges to read the Sentinel license file (i.e. the file that LSERVRC points to), as as well as its parent directory.

If these look OK its likely that you have lost an essential component of the 'under-the-hood' Team-GIS licensing configuration. You should send a System Support File to Exprodat Support in order to resolve this issue, including a copy of your LSERVRC file.

Q. I'm getting error code E0002 saying 'no license code is available for feature on host' when I try to run Team-GIS License Manager - what's going on?

A. Your machine's Sentinel environment is not configured correctly. This error occurs when the LSHOST environment variable has been set but the LSERVRC environment variable is not set correctly - you should check the LSERVRC environment variable setting.

Q. I'm getting error code E0002 about 'the license server' during the install - what's going on?

A. A pre-existing LSFORCEHOST environment variable may be stopping all Team-GIS products from being able to find a license - you should check for the existence of and either remove or rename LSFORCEHOST to LSHOST.

Q. I'm getting error code 26 about 'time-tampering' - what's going on?

A. You have either changed the system clock in such a way as to try to bypass the license security (in which case shame on you) or there is a configuration conflict between Standalone and Network license modes (e.g. trying to install an evaluation version or license the product using Standalone licensing on a terminal server such as a virtual machine or Citrix server). You should contact support@exprodat.com to resolve this issue.

Q. I'm getting error code -199709 about 'Terminal Servers' - what's going on?

A. Terminal servers (e.g. virtual machines or Citrix deployments) can only be licensed using Network licenses: Standalone or evaluation licenses will not work and will throw the -199709 error.

To license a terminal server correctly you need to:

1.Set-up the Team-GIS license server with a valid Team-GIS product Network license.
2.Launch Team-GIS License Manager [in 'Network (Client)' mode].
